We welcome poems, fiction, essays, as well as original translations in English.

• Fiction length: less than 10,000 words.

• Poetry length: nothing that may make Dante or Blake jealous.

• Essay length: less than 6,000 words.

Photography  is preferable as Art Photo or Photo Essay and is  accepted in .jpeg and .bmp formats. Note: Nature shots are recommended only if they tell a story,  photo essay style. (We understand how that is a relative and subjective approach and will sympathise with any well argued view on the subject.)

We read manuscripts on a rolling basis for each of our four annual online publications, and it's our policy to respond to every submission. As a rule, we respond after the close of the reading period. So, if you've submitted during the January-March reading period, expect a response by middle of March.

If you've submitted during the April-June reading period, expect a response by middle of July.

If you've submitted during the July-September reading period, expect a response by middle of September.

And if you've submitted during the October-December reading period, expect a response by middle of December.

All submission responses come via electronic mail, from info@polyphonyonline.org.

To ensure you receive our messages, please set your email preferences to allow messages from info@polyphonyonline.org.

Author retains all rights to his/her work when published in our online publication. We request the author's permission to post their work on this web site, as it appears.  We also request that if the author chooses to publish somewhere else the work published with us, that they acknowledge "The following work has appeared at Polyphony Magazine."

Polyphony On Line accepts original submissions of your work in Microsoft Word or Word Perfect.
